Shot clock coming to Arkansas High School basketball

Why not just go to the collegiate time clock and get some consistency.

It will come if the AAA approves it, the AD’s can vote on what they want, it still takes the school administrator’s vote at a AAA meeting. That said, hopefully it will work it’s way down the classifications, too.

I was looking to see what NFHS rules say about the shot clock if anything. Answer is nothing, but at least eight states have incorporated the shot clock anyway, and as best I can tell all of them are using the 35-second clock.

There are lots of differences between high school and college rules anyway, starting with use of quarters instead of halves for the boys. So consistency is not their concern.
