We know now that Arkansas will be the No. 2 or No. 3 seed at the SEC Tournament next week. It’s too soon to say who the Razorbacks might play — pretty much every team other than Texas A&M and Tennessee could fall into one of the seeds that pair with those seeds on the second day.
We also know Arkansas will play one of the early games in Hoover next Wednesday, either 9:30 a.m. or approximately 1 p.m.
Early is a good thing.
I think it is especially a good thing in Hoover. The teams that play early are able to be in more of a routine. The worst is playing the late game at the end of a day that has had rain delays and/or an extra-inning game. I think Arkansas-South Carolina started a game at 9:45 a few years ago.
The forecast for Hoover next week includes rain chances through at least Thursday.
