Also a great interview with Grant Morgan. Chris Doering said the heart and soul of this defense is the linebacking group adding “No offense but you guys are complete psychopaths. What is that meeting room like with all you guys?” Got a good laugh out of that.
And the part at the end where they review the predictions was outstanding! It was titled Call Your Shots. Chris Doering predicted KJ would be the difference in the game, while Peter Burns said the aTm defense would be the difference.
My view, too, was KJ would be the difference because he enables the Hogs to be 3 dimentional (Running Backs, Passing, and QB mobility). We had that advantage until KJ got hurt. He’s not yet a great enough QB without his running dimension.
The same holds true in my opinion this week; if he’s healthy and can stay healthy the Hogs will have a great chance for an upset.
Grant Morgan is just like his brother Drew, great interviews. You only need to ask two or three questions before you have 30 minutes of answers. Grant is honest. He can’t help but be himself and honest. He is always the same.
This team has grit and heart. That gives them a chance regardless of the opponent. Super Seniors like Morgan have been through football hell. From the final tailspin of the Bielema era to the utter incompetence of Chad Morris, these players played through the worst years of modern Razorback football. They now have a real top notch head coach, excellent coordinators and skilled position coaches who have good game plans and can make in game adjustments. I understand why Georgia is favored, but to have the Hogs as 18.5 point underdogs is completely unwarranted.
