SEC golf, day 2

Hogs tee off beginning at 8:20 Central. Paired with South Carolina and Alabama today. Very early in the second round but nobody is making a move yet.

Top eight teams after the third round tomorrow advance to match play. Hogs are in 11th beginning the day, three shots out of eighth.

Hogs are now tied for 9th, one shot out of 8th. They’re playing well (-2 so far), but also Kentucky woke up on the bogey side of the bed this morning and is +5. Meanwhile, Auburn is -6 and jumped from 9th to 5th so far.

Hogs are kicking butt in round 2. Four of the five players under par, led by -3 from Segundo Pinto, on the back nine (we started on 10) and we are now in eighth place at even par with a four-shot cushion over Tennessee. Only two shots out of fifth place at this point.

Hogs are -8 today, the best team score on the course.

Tenner (-11) and Aubbie 9-10) are killing it today, we are now 7th.(-8 today).

Vandy is team leader at -10, We are E and tied with Misery for 7/8.

Tied for seventh with Misery and Tennessee; the Vols are -12 today. Auburn is -11 so there are low scores out there (I’m guessing the wind is down from yesterday’s 17 mph). Hogs remain -8 for the day, led by Julian Perico at -3.

We’ve given back some shots on the front nine. Currently 10th, five shots out of eighth. Pinto and Wil Gibson both finished at -2 for the day.

In the individual race, Luke Long is tied for 23rd at even par after -1 69 today. Pinto is +1, tied for 29th.

definitely not looking good

Yeah, six shots out of eighth place now on the back nine. We either need to start making a bunch of birdies or both Tennessee and Moo U need to collapse bigtime. And it doesn’t look like today’s a great day for birdies.
