SEC & Big 10 wiped out

16 teams from these two conferences were in the field of 68 and not one made it to EE. After Arkansas and Tennessee lost yesterday, I was hoping Alabama will keep it going for SEC. But strong defense and timely shooting by San Diego State wiped out a good second half lead.

On the plus side, for the third straight year, no one from SEC made it farther than us.

Why in the hell would you be rooting for Bama, PJ?
The rest of the SEC doesn’t care about us, and I damn sure don’t care about them either.
C’mon, man.
Bama? Really? They are a disgrace, and they got what they deserved.
Period.

Good post, Jeremy, 100% correct

Uh…don’t mean to speak for PJ, but he’s not a Miller hater like so many of us are.

The only question is why?
That whole situation was despicable.
Bama put winning ahead of common decency, and they got what they deserved.
Again, they have zero basketball tradition.
They were always pretenders to the throne anyway, and I hope Oats gets sent back to math class.
He is a man with no integrity.
I honestly have no idea how he sleeps at night.

I’m happy Nate Oates and his team of idiots got sent packing. Now maybe the law will take a longer look at the evidence and do the right thing.

Those wishing not well for Miller should be happy that he was a bust in the post season. At first it was groin injury he suffered in the SECT final, but he seemed to have recovered 100% by the time NCAAs started. Every facet of his game was there except the three point shot.

His performance reminded me of another SEC Player of the Year in the post season. Bobby Portis. Arkansas was not a national title contender like Alabama, but had hopes of going deep that year.

Now that all SEC teams are out, hoping for UConn or Kansas State to take it. However it is more wide open than ever.

Miami is a team to watch. Hoping they take out Texas. They have five guys who are very good at ISO. I guess positionless basketball.

Oats and the AD are clowns

Both (add Bama President) are guilty of condoning bad. bad behavior at the very least. Every pundit I’ve read or watched confirms this. Saban is the only Bama person I’ve seen question their decision. Good for Nick.

The college basketball community let out a large sigh of relief with Bama’s demise and that’s a rarity with regional biases in the college game. Few people were willing to turn the other way with that set of circumstances underscoring the miserable response their administration had. They gave away every ounce of integrity in the process to promote winning and shoved it down everyone’s throat. Well, at least that was the thought for most people in 49 states. The other state still has people praising the poisoning of trees as a hobby.

It has been 11 years since Kentucky won the last title for SEC. Since then Big East and ACC have won three titles each and Big 12 won the last two.

SEC needs either Arkansas and Kentucky to deliver soon. I don’t think any other team has the infrastructure and fan base support to win one. I thought both had a great chance this year, but injuries took care of that for both. Injuries to Brazile and Nick did not allow Muss to spread the floor, that he was dreaming of. And injuries to Wheeler turned Kentucky into a half court team and then injury to CJ Frederick took out that sharpshooter they needed to complement Reeves to win half court games.

Here is hoping some SEC team wins next year. It is past due.

Since the SEC doesn’t give a rats rear end about Arkansas, I don’t give a rats rear end about any of them. After over 2 decades in this Conference, we are still viewed as outsiders who are not really welcomed here. Heck, A&M and Missouri get more respect than we do. Look at baseball, both men’s and women’s track, basketball, softball, and soccer. Even though we have been highly successful in those sports, the great Paul Finebaum and Dari Nola seldom mention it. Neither does the Commissioner or any other big wing in Birmingham. So to hell with them.

While giving you the benefit of the doubt, nevertheless it is an insult to mention Bobby Portis in your obsessive appreciation of this BAMBA embarrassment. Miller and his buds who alleged conspired in the murder of a mother of a small child. Their weasel for a coach along with his AD and his University President attempted to shield a basketball program from this player’s part in the transport of the murder weapon. No doubt, there might be questions about his degree of knowledge but that should have been for the court system to decide, not a basketball coach. Please do not taint Boby Portis or the University of Arkansas in this shameful example of misplaced community values.

I’m thrilled Bama is gone. Oates should be ashamed. The whole school should be.
