My gut tells me that Arkansas - though clearly out-manned in this contest - rallies and plays very, very hard with an “us vs. the world” mentality. Meanwhile, this is a relatively meaningless “trap” game for Alabama prior to their rivalry game with Tennessee. From Bama’s perspective, it will be a tough task to get their team too motivated for our game. So, I see us staying “relatively” close for a half - and then them putting us away with a 21-3 3rd quarter . . . something like that.
Unfortunately the game is prime time, and seeing it’s against Bama will have a lot of viewers.

[/quote]I understand what you are saying. But what is working FOR us . . . relatively speaking . . . in this case is the old axiom that you cannot be "up’ for every game in a season. Bama has already had “tough” games vs. FSU, a surprising MSU (fresh off a win over LSU) and A&M. They still have LSU and Auburn coming up.
I just think that regardless of what King Nick rants at them this week, it’s going to be hard for the players to really be motivated to play an obviously reeling Arkansas. That doesn’t mean we can beat them; but it may mean we can hang with them longer than we should.
Bama will be able to score whatever number they want. The line is 31 and Bama should cover easily.
Bama and Auburn will score in the 60’s and we will be lucky to get past 10 points in each game. This is a sad state of affairs that will probably not be remedied soon.
CBB works a miracle and we don’t fall apart in the second half and lose respectably. This will require Bama to play sloppy and turn it over a couple of times. Bama 28- Hogs 14.

throw in special teams and then Cecil H can just waltz his way through our always trouble with dual threat QB’s. 3rd string depth chart at AL would have us singing praises and Hallelujahs if they were on the roster. Truthfully, does anyone think Bama cannot name their score no matter our effort. I do concur that our effort will be better and BB will make that known post game. Who to throw under the bus would be a better question. There is no denying the BB ego which will never go away since it seems to be his essence.

I actually agree with you on this. A lot of the players are coming out against the “fans” and saying they only have each other and it’s them against the world. If they have that attitude for real, and ain’t just saying it, then I think you’ll see them play with passion this weekend. I still don’t think they’ll beat Bama or AUB, but I think you’ll see them play with some heart and passion and keep it close. So, Bama 31-Hogs 17
