I for one sure think we should allow this for at least another 5 years until he gets his players recruited.

[/quote]predictable response, but kids still have to execute and perform, so not sure can put it all on the coaches. If we don’t have a kicker who can consistently put in the end zone next season, then I might put it on the staff.
This is worse than the the JLSmith hire.

Like I said special teams is most effort by the players. Plenty of opportunities every time to make a play, have to give that little bit of extra effort.
I guess the coaching staff should cover kicks & punts. Let the players draw up the schemes.
And the players did execute after that play, especially on special teams. Defense looked salty again.
But the best part of the players executing was this – early when it was quickly 14-0, one had the sense that the Hogs were headed for a 70-7 blowout or something similar. That they came back and outscored A&M from that point forward 17-10 was a credit to their heart and character – and their execution. GO HOGS!
They didn’t give up the TD bc of lack of effort or talent it was execution. A few guys ran into one another and others didn’t stay in their lane. Not sure why we ever kick a kickoff “deep” though.
It looked to me like it was Montaric Brown and Nate Dalton who took poor angles, and that opened up the right side of the field. I think Arkansas might just need to squib it or do some directional sky kicks the rest of the way.
