Very simple, Florida was supposed to win the game.
I didn’t like the no-calls either, but our horrid shot selection and execution was what lost this game. Give Florida credit for shutting down Joe in the second half. Jones just couldn’t find his mojo today.
Bad defense, lack of rebounding, no whistle on our offensive end, role players were in the game too much and we played out of control when we had our chances to score on fast breaks. Today the turnovers were our enemy.

Gay is the first post or to mention game plan. Florida held us to the low 50 point range in the season game. They repeated that today. What did we do in our game plan to adjust our play to get different results? A radio announcer at half time of this game mentioned that Florida’s coach was using the ref’s replay time on purpose to rest his team. That is called coaching! Someday we could have it again.
