Real nit picking question

O’Grady got the record for TDs by a tight end, but, he was lined up in the backfield.
How is he a TE and a HB?

In modern day football, tight ends can line up in a variety of places. Still a tight end no matter where unless, obviously, if he lines up at QB.

And, if you recall, Jeremy Sprinkle was lined up as a WR a bunch of the time when he set the record with 11. When did a player line up strictly at tight end? Not sure. It’s been a long time. D.J. Williams was motioned, put at tight end, H-back, all of the above.

Yeah, I was only thinking of the end receiver on the line of scrimmage not covered by wide receiver.
