Nine more games to get things going right. Arkansas has some chances to make the TCU game into winnable game, but not as much so against A&M. They had numerous chances to make a play here or there to win it.
I agree RD there’s a lot of football to be played yet and I’m sure we will improve along the way. My top concern is do we have the players or coaches that can figure out how to slow down these spread offenses? If you score 43 you should win a high percentage of your games I would think. I thought we took a step forward on play calling becoming aggressive and scoring in the red zone and on the conversion, we seemed to move away from the vanilla play calling for the most part and it was successful. Need the defense to mature in the next 13 days to be competitive this season, hoping for the best. WPS
I live out of state and Arkansas is often the butt of jokes - even in Kentucky - you go just about anywhere outside the Razorback home footprint - yep - pretty much not respected as a football program anymore

The outside world’s opinion of the Razorback football program may not be as bad as you may believe.
You used the term “outside the Razorback home footprint.” Not totally sure if by that you mean the state of Arkansas, or the footprint of the SEC, itself.
Anyway…
I’ve lived in SoCal the past 30 years, and have worked at a military installation that entire time. You can imagine the number of college football fans from all over the country I’ve met over these years. I can assure you, overwhelmingly, that most folks have a relatively decent opinion of our program. Most quickly point out that we simply compete in the toughest division/conference in the NCAA. Most (including the local Broom-Heads) will also tell you they are glad they don’t have to compete with SEC West teams week in and week out.
As far as the Razorbacks being the “butt of jokes”? … there have been three separate occasions where I’ve had to endure ridicule out here on the West Coast. Any guesses as to what those were? The answers:
Fans flying banners to oust HDN
Bobby Petrino and his motorcycle
The great stadium debate (for clarification, most are incredulous we’re still playing “home” games away from campus)
It may be hard to fathom we’re NOT being laughed at because of our win/loss records, we have a pig farmer for a coach, etc. etc. … but it is the truth.
Try to sleep well, my friend; public opinion of our beloved Hogs is not so dire.

I’m glad to hear your take - maybe it’s a case I’m in Kentucky and it’s s unique culture
I do t think anyone fears playing Arkansas anymore
I caught up with an old friend in Fayetteville this weekend, who is from out of state but recently relocated to Arkansas.
We watched the game together, and one of the things he left me with was, man just a few years ago everyone was talking about Arkansas football, and how good they were…(CBP days)… He then proceeded to ask what happened and made sure to take a hit at my pride telling me how bad they now suck.
The program probably hasn’t ever had national recognition, but there was a small period where we were on everyone’s radar, for the first time in a long time.
He is from Tennessee, not a big football fan, so only knows what little he would hear from wherever.
