Track program needs to get a whole lot more notoriety than they do they are just flat out unbelievable!!! Nobody better than them at track
47 National Championships(including the women)now 163 conference championships…think Alabama needs to cede the title of “T Town” to Fayetteville…last time i looked…47 is greater than the 10-15 they claim in football
But to hear Alabama fans you think they win the national championship every damn year
Great job. They are just so good and the amazing part is how long they have been world class!
UA…Campus of Champions
I attended the last 2-3 hours of the track meet last night. This was my first SEC track meet. There is action going on everywhere. We had a family member on my wife’s side of the family who runs for Ole Miss. He was the fastest in his home state his Sr year of high school. He finished almost last in his event yesterday. The amount of speed and talent on display was unreal. The Hogs Lauren Gregory paced the field in the 3000M until about 5 to go and the Alabama’s runner passed her. Lauren stayed within 1-2 seconds of her and blew by her on the last lap and never looked back. It was amazing to watch. I still have no idea what happened to the Hog’s first runner in the Mens 4X400. He completed the first lap and as he was making turn one again he slipped, tripped, fell off the track, all in about 2 seconds. It was odd for sure but thankfully the Gators fell out as well so it didn’t make it any closer in the points standings. I am not sure I could set there all day and watch but it was fun to watch an SEC track meet. It was really fun to watch the Hogs win both titles. I got to thinking about it, and this may have been my first in person event to witness the Hogs winning an SEC championship. I am not talking about an SEC west title but an outright SEC title.
I receive a hard copy of the AD-G on Sundays. I had trouble finding an article about the SEC meet results…finally found them on page 9. IMHO, shoulda been on page one!!
Yeah with all the success they have had and will continue to have, there needs to be a lot more love and adoration from Razorback nation given to them…They are truly the standard that everyone in the nation pretty much tries to match up to much like Bama and Georgia in football.
