Not surprised by our drop. About what I expected.

Afraid we’re catching LSU just as they’re getting hot.

Arkansas is No. 5 in the coaches poll.

Agree on both points. I expected somewhere around 6 to 8. And, in reality, I believe I’d rank us around 16th based on what we’ve actually done on the diamond so far this season, so I can’t complain about where they rank us.

W/regards to LSU, this becomes a key series for us…perhaps a defining series for the season, when we look back in 6 weeks. If we want to host a Super (or even a regional), we need to get back on track and win this series. And as you point out, LSU has caught fire the past week or two. This should be a hotly contested series.

The hogs Simply didn’t play well in games 2 and 3 at Florida. Noland was dominate in game 1. DVH will get it figured out but there needs to be a short leash on Smith this weekend. The young man has all the talent in world but he didn’t handle the home plate umpires calling of balls and strikes very well.
I’m a few weeks looks at the rankings and the hogs will climb back up a few spots. Nothing to worry about. The sky isn’t falling.
