Quick rundown on today's football visitors

Arkansas extended offers to 2019 TE Grayson Boomer and 2019 WR Jalen Curry.

Bielema met with 2019 Arkansas quarterback target Grant Gunnell, 6-6, 200 pounds, of St. Pius X in Houston twice today and basically said you’re our guy.

Curry of Stafford, Texas was really impressed facilities and said the coaches were amazing. He hopes to come back this summer.

Sophomore tight end Grayson Boomer of Collinsville, Okla. said he absolutely loved the visit and is very excited to get the offer. He said he will without a doubt visit again.

Arkansas plans to visits the schools of sophomore offensive tackle McKade Mettauer of The Wooodlands, Texas and sophomore defensive tackle Gerald Irons III of Spring (Klein Oak), Texas in the spring to evaluate them.Irons picked up an offer from Oklahoma State on Friday before they headed to Fayetteville.

Springdale junior defensive lineman Isaiah Nichols, 6-4, 261 said it was an all round great visit. He called Coach Bielema great and was humbled that he’s noticed his effort. He also liked DL Coach John Scott.

He has offers from Mississippi State, Iowa State, Tulane, Kansas State and Arkansas State.

Plan to have more fairly soon.

Offensive lineman Will Burgess, 6-4, 340 of Lake Hamilton said the visit was more than he expected. He’s an excellent student and the academic center blew him away. OL Coach Kurt Anderson stressed to him the Hogs see him as being equal to some of the more highly touted linemen they’re recruiting. They will go see him in the spring and then they want him to attend the linemen camp in June.

I will continue to say I see Will getting an offer at some point.

Offensive lineman Josh Semau, 6-6, 350 pounds, of Camdenton, Mo. called the visit was amazing and said Arkansas has everything he’s looking for. He’s another camp guy.

Richard we are going to take 3 or 4 OL’s this class?

Condon?
Burgess?
Scott?

Do you see anyway we get blue shirts out of in state guys like Gatlin? Clark? the Hardage kid from Pocahontas? Or the kid from Star City?

The Burgess kid is an intriguing situation. He looks like the type of lineman Stanford seems to get every year. They load up on 4 star linemen with brains. It will be interesting how this plays out.

If CBB told Gunnell that he was the guy, and met with him twice, then do we have any sense of where we stand with him?

They’re going to sign 2 or 3. You have Clary that’s going to be a part of the 18 class.

Did the guys from Evangel come?

Yes. Will have updates soon.

2018 LSU commits safety Ar’Darius Washington and LB Micah Baskerville of Shreveport Evangel said they are looking to visit for the spring game on April 29.

Baskerville said he felt at home at Arkansas after talking to the players. He also said they made him feel like a part of the team. He also praised receivers coach Michael Smith’s ability to relate to him.

Washington also commented in feeling at home at Arkansas after talking to the players and the coaches. He said they were down-to-earth. They obviously know safety Santos Ramirez and Jared Cornelius. Baskerville and Washington said they have offers from the Hogs.

DB Jarrick Benard also made the trip.

This is kind of BIG news down here… Folks think we could have a chance with all 3…

I think DB Jarrick Benard has a very good chance of receiving an offer from Arkansas in the near future. I was looking at his video and the kid can go.
