I just noticed this on twitter. How is this going to impact you on Hawgs Illustrated forums and of course the magazine? This is just shocker news. I’d hate to lose one of the best in the biz. This is like NE letting Tom Brady go… bad.
This is just crazy.
Dudley you are truly one of the best, can’t wait to see where you land.
Hang in there DD you will land on your feet.
Yes That is True,He texted me about an hour ago and told me,I am not a happy camper!!! Dudley has been a good friend since we met when he was coming to Atl to cover a recruit…Awesome Guy and Great reporter! He can’t say anything about this on the board, told me I could report it but was waiting to see if Clay said anything about it.
Absolute Horsecrap He has been the man for Arkansas Basketball and recruiting for years. I hate to hear it. Hope he lands on his feet soon!
I’m speechless. So who is upper management at NWA Media Inc??
Who is NWA Media’s key principal?
NWA Media’s key principal is JIM BLANKENSHIP
What is NWA Media’s phone number?
NWA Media’s phone number is (479) 442-1700
All I can think about this decision is that whomever made it just made one colossal blunder. The fool! The most famous of which is “never get involved in a land war in Asia ,” but only slightly less well-known is this: Never go in against a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line. now we can add NEVER toss out your ace recruiting master that’s been on the job for 35 years!!
Someone deserves a good hard Boot to the Head over this one.
Another huge loss! Dudley, you will greatly missed!
I will eagerly await to hear where you will land. God bless, my friend!
Am stunned and reassessing my desire to maintain this subscription with Clay and Dudley gone.
Whoever made this call, unless they have equity, needs to feel some heat.
That makes two of us.
Really hate to hear this, Dudley! You and Clay were the two posters I always looked forward to reading the most!! You were the voice of recruiting and kept us informed with character and integrity. You will be greatly missed. Hard to truly describe the void that will exist with your absence. Best of luck to you and your family. God bless you, brother!
I’m here because of Clay, and then DD .
Hate to hear it. I really hate to hear it.
I was listening to radio the other day and a guy was discussing when Muss was going to address/ that he hasn’t addressed the PG needs of this class. So anyway. There is that.
You will be missed. Prayers for the fresh start.
Clay retiring and DD getting pushed out. This just sucks. Plain and simple.
I am rethinking mine now. I understand Clay wanting to enjoy his new life, I turned down jobs when I announced in March 2021 that 44 years of being in the Army(34 years) and working as a civilian contractor ((10) had burnt me out. I have never regretted it. I will miss Clays words of wisdom and DD’s honest, blunt assessment of all things recruiting.
