I would like to see it happen.
A few reasons why I think it may happen:
-
GameDay hasn’t been to Fayetteville in 10 years, so it would provide a fresh backdrop.
-
The show has already originated from two Tennessee games this year. While Texas A&M and Tennessee may be the biggest game next week, it may not want to feature the Vols for a third time in five Saturdays.
-
The show has already originated from a Florida State game this year, too. The FSU-Miami is one of the three games being considered. But like Arkansas, it has been a while since the show originated from Miami for a Hurricanes game (2001).
-
It has not been at a game for Alabama this year. There is always intrigue when the No. 1 team plays a ranked opponent, especially on the road.
I thought I read this somewhere but cant find it.
Typically, what time is the game if Gameday picks the game up?
I’ll be on the road that day and a 6pm game is a lot better than an early game
The time of the football game is not affected by College GameDay. The game time will be either at 2:30 on CBS or 6 on ESPN and will be announced on Sunday.
Hard to believe it’s been 10 years
Wow
Bama gets almost 10 a year
Showcasing our place and the hill in Oct could be great on a beautiful fall weekend
And let’s get real ESPN loves them some Bret B
I totally forgot about the Vols on vs Va Tech. That does make a difference. Vols 3 times in 5 weekends seems excessive. I thought we were toast once we lost to the Aggies.

[/quote]Man, those are good arguments that make a lot of sense, but it has made the most sense before — with the best game — anyway, just don’t get your hopes up. I would think, if we beat AL, they might consider the Ole Miss game. I bet they go to College Station that weekend ---- but I don’t like ESPN too much anyway.
Still sucks for the students. They snub Fayetteville ----That’s why I don’t watch them anymore – that and them thinking that ESPN sports anchors should tell me how I should feel about social issues ----- sorry, but they are sports anchors. Stick to what they know— sports.
