Injuries
One of the top notes from today’s practice is freshman Trey Knox was not on the field for the open portion of the workout. Freshman receiver Treylon Burks was present and in red, which is standard for offensive players. Burks was rumored to have a thigh bruise following Saturday’s scrimmage. Jordan Jones (foot) was also absent.
Offensive lineman Colton Jackson was back full go as well after battling a nagging foot injury that held him out of a couple of practices last week. Taking a look at some of OL group work, Jackson worked at left tackle with the first time alongside LG Kirby Adcock, C Ty Clary, RG Myron Cunningham and RT Dalton Wagner. Sophomore OL Audry Horn, from Little Rock Catholic, was at practice as well in shorts.
Defensively, projected starters Jarques McClellion (corner) and Greg Brooks (nickel) were in standard white jerseys. McClellion wore green multiple days in Week 2 and Brooks did the same and sat out Saturday’s scrimmage after hyperextending his thumb in the team’s first scrimmage of the preseason.
Chad Morris will meet with reporters briefly following practice to update some injuries. Stay posted for that.
