Practice notes and observations - 9/19

• Arkansas’ football team went inside Walker Pavilion today to begin prep for Texas A&M.

• Defensive back Myles Slusher (undisclosed) was present at practice and in a no-contact jersey. Slusher has been out since Week 1. Freshman receiver Isaiah Sategna, who was not in uniform against Missouri State, was not present Monday.

• Dwight McGlothern (hamstring) was full-go and taking part in drills. Slusher rolled with the top group of defensive backs in individual drills.

• The offense was working against the scout team as reporters were walking out, and crowd noise was being pumped in.

• Jadon Haselwood and Warren Thompson made two really nice catches on air. Thompson had to jump and extend his arms to bring in a ball, and Haselwood brought in a pass around his knees and did not break stride.

Sam Pittman said at his Monday press conference that Haselwood has been as consistent as any receiver through three games. Also praised the transfer’s leadership and toughness.

Great sign of what’s to come with Haselwood. That’s one of the first things I noticed about Burks. A WR has got to have great hands and total focus to do that.

I wonder what’s going on with Satenga?? I was hoping we’d use that electricity that he has with the ball in his hands some this year but it doesn’t look like it.

How did Dom Johnson look?

thought I heard someone say (maybe Trey Biddy?) that Satenga rolled his ankle last week.

Oh ok… thanks

I think he’s game ready. Still going through drills without a brace. That’s all we saw today, plus a little pass pro stuff.

Actually Sam said that in a presser.
