• In the fastball start, QB KJ Jefferson led the 1 offense vs. the 1 defense. He was incomplete throwing to his right, Trelon Smith had a nice gain up the middle and then Jefferson connected with JD White. Jefferson then went up top to Trey Knox, who got his hands on the ball between two defenders, but was likely interfered with by Greg Brooks

• Malik Hornsby then led the 2 offense vs. the 2 defense. Rocket Sanders carried twice, once being clogged up the middle and the second resulting in a nice gain. Hornsby then scrambled for a short gain before missing on a throw to Warren Thompson.

• Ole Miss QB transfer Kade Renfro then got the third-team reps at QB. Dominique Johnson took a pitch, but found no room around the left end. Johnson then had a short gain up the middle. Renfro kept for short gain. Keaun Parker then broke up a pass intended for Chris Harris, Renfro then bootlegs, but ended up throwing it away.

• Scouts from the Ravens and Giants were there

I like our defensive roster, 2 deep and some even more than that.

Love our TB roster if they can stay healthy.

Like our OL, but man Stromberg and Cunningham are so key, just cannot afford to lose them. and I just don’t feel good about RT-again. If we stay healthy, then 4/5 spots should be mid-SEC OL, but RT still looks like bottom 1/4 or so of the SEC.

QB-I’m optimistic that we have a good QB. really liked his pocket presence in the Mizzou game.

TE-sheesh, only have 2 and they can’t stay healthy. poor Henry has just stayed injured so far. if they can stay healthy, they could REALLY be an asset, and one that no outsiders expect.

WR-man, we could have one of the SEC’s best groups, or we could be one of the worst groups in the SEC. we are counting on Superman to stay healthy and be himself. counting on Warren to return to pre-injury form, about 9 months after ACL surgery. we are counting on true frosh and former walkons to emerge. not saying that they couldn’t, but it is a lot to ask. my gut tells me that superman, warren, the FSU transfer, JDW, jaquelin and the freshmen show up and show out.

special teams-hard to offer an opinion, with essentially no info other than practice reports.

6-6, or maybe more. really can’t wait to watch what this team does.
