Postgame Thoughts: LSU 79, Arkansas 77

A close loss, especially on the road against a rival, is always tough to swallow, but the fight in this Arkansas team is admirable and undeniable. It simply never quits, and I have a hard time believing this group won’t be ready to get back on track this weekend:

We were overmatched physically, but we had a real good chance to win, somehow. This team gives all it has every game along with the coaches. That is all you can ask.

It is frustrating to lose to Will “Strong Ass Offer” Wade, however.

Difficult game to have lost. Too many 1st half missed 3 pointers, the technical, & rebounding were the difference in the end. As always great coaching & effort by our players against a much taller & more physical team.

I know you hear it, but my heart wasn’t broken. It was the first road game of the season that could have helped us more than it hurt. We weren’t just eliminated from the final 4 on a buzzer beater. That a heart breaker. It’s all perspective from those that have witnessed Arkansas’ greatness. Losing to UNC up by 10 with under 2 to go and losing, for a shot at the sweet 16 for the first time in 2 decades? That’s a heart breaker.
