Poor weather conditions tonight

I would not be surprised if tonight’s game has a much smaller attendance than the previous SEC games. According to the National Weather Service, Fayetteville is expected to receive some freezing rain beginning in a few hours. Here is more from the weather service:

Ice accumulations are expected this afternoon and evening across a good portion of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas, with the highest accumulations likely to be across portions of southeast and east central Oklahoma northeastward into northwest Arkansas.

Precipitation will expand northward through the afternoon and into the evening, especially across areas southeast of Interstate 44. Rain will transition to freezing rain in areas to the north of a line from Antlers to Talihina to Fort Smith to Ozark as freezing surface temperatures progress southward through the afternoon and evening. The cold air may deepen enough to lead to a transition to sleet in parts of northeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas before the precipitation ends.

It is gray and blustery in Fayetteville now. It looks like the skies could open up at any minute with precipitation.

I was out and about this afternoon. It started misting between 2:30 and 3 in Fayetteville. It has the potential to be really slick out there soon.

It is getting kind of nasty in Fayetteville.

The wether is about to match the play of the hogs defense!
