I don’t think many if any of us thought we would have 4 bogeys on the front 6. We managed par on only the two easy 3 pars, FAMU and NMSU. The back six might not have any long par 5’s like that ridiculous hole in Tuscaloosa, but there is only one gimme put. Big water hazard or not, we’ll go postal on Coastal. First up though are the Aubrun War Tigers. I look for Kerryon Wayward Son Johnson to run wild over our fairways and the Gus Bus to leave town with an easy win. Better watch those sand baggers in Oxford, if we can keep them within the rules, I think we can salvage some pride with a win. I don’t see us beating LSU. Looks like they’ve got their swing straightened out. Miss Steak could really go either way. Just depends on our frame of mind when we play. Likewise Mizzou. I really hope that clod Biesel runs his mouth all week and gives us something to play for. Sadly, I’m afraid we’ll fall short of my preseason prediction of 2 under par.
Nice analogy. I think we need two mulligans
I don’t see any eagles left to make up strokes the rest of the way.
Club championship…I shot 45 on the front yesterday, three putted the 10th for bogey. I had little to no hope as I stood on the 11th tee. I hit another drive left towards the OB stake, but it hit something and kicked right landing 3’ from OB. I then pulled it all together and made par. From there I made 6 pars and one bogey to shoot 38 on the back. I ended up with the low round of the day in my flight (hdcp 5-8) and finished 4th.
It took me getting one good break and then having the confidence to turn it around.
WPS! It can happen.
I think we get 4 pars and 2 bogeys out of these last 6. We make a bowl game and win it too.
LSU’s demise was exaggerated. Their win over Syracuse looks pretty good now, for instance.
Except that 3 putt against TROY…
We need wide fairways, few hazards and easy-to-read greens to get to six. But if you’re playing with confidence (and the first SEC win will do that, but it’ll be the hardest), it can be done. Otherwise, we may need a gopher and a stick of dynamite.
 In other words, we gotta play footloose. If we don’t, it may be time to help Judge Snells(Jeff Long) find his checkbook.
On a drivable par 4 with no water in play the Arkansas staff would use an iron and play for birdie instead of going for the green to have a chance at eagle!
They will find a way to blow a couple of games late even with the lead.
5-7. APR gets them into the the Losers go home Bowl.
Troy was a sand trap in the fairway. They won 10 games last year and played Clemson to a one-score game. An offensively challenged team like LSU might not carry the trap if they are looking ahead to the green.
This team will need Winter rules. Move it in the rough.
Clean and replace plus some favorable ruling by officials as well.
Pretty clear who we are and remaining teams left on schedule — can we win four more games? I felt better three weeks ago but now think we are standing on tee box with everyone watching knowing we need to hit the drive of our lives. That tension will kill that you when you need to be at your free and easy swinging best…
