Scottie was there and filed this:
Coach Muss walk the tight rope?
As long as it’s not our turn in the barrel.
I think taking the players to Niagara Falls is really neat. Players are students too, and if they have travel and/or educational experiences that only enhance their basketball experience, bring it on. Btw, I took an ethics class several years ago, I was told that if you see someone drop a dollar bill you have an obligation to return it to them. But if you are at the bottom of Niagara Falls and you see a coin coming by and you snatch it up, you have no obligation to return it, because it would be almost impossible to find out who dropped it from up above, and you were not expected or requrted to go on an almost hopeless task to try to return it, that was asking too much. So I jokingly replied “If my son was retrieved at the bottom of Niagara Falls, would they be required to return him”.
I was hoping they’d do that while there. That’s a bucket list item for most people & I doubt any of these kids have seen the Falls before. Buffalo is hardly a destination most teams want in the NCAA (or any other time), but Niagara Falls is truly a wonder. I saw them about 40 years ago and was awed.
I went to Niagara Falls on a road trip the summer before my senior year of high school. That was a great experience.
The next time I go out to the western region of this great country, out to the land of the bufalo, I’m definitely going to check out that Niagara Falls.
Baseball Hall of Fame is 3.5 hrs away in Cooperstown
Yeah I could tell they were excited to be there! heck I would be too!
Nature provides us with some magical creations to witness. I have seen a lot of them but Niagara Falls is not one of them, yet.
Awesome that these young men got to enjoy this. Kudos to the staff for making it happen.
I’ll never forget when Clark Kent took Lois there.
Clark Kent hasnt forgotten it either.
I’ve been to Niagara Falls ans a tour of New York City on Easter Sunday in 1976.
Stood on top of the Twin Towers. Stood as close as I could get to 1 of those towers (outside the building) and looked up at it swaying back and forth. To this day I never understood how that building stood up.
Wish I could have seen that view from the Twin Towers, Mike. They were completed the same year I was born. I’ve never been the same since they fell.
I was with some guys going to Rochester NY to go to a Famous place the, Kodak processor school. To be a trained X-Ray Tech and could tear X-Ray machine and or fix it…
But ended up as a Salary Materials Coordinator for Whirlpool. A pit stop for a few months that ended up 33 years
