Stony Brook has an All-American shortstop, Nick Grande, who is the preseason player of the year in the America East Conference. It should be a great weekend watching he and Casey Martin go head-to-head, so to speak.
Grande batted .377 last season but is off to a slow start this year with a .217 average. He had 32 stolen bases last year.
