If he’s available I would guess he might get the call followed by Johnny Wholestaff.
He has earned some trust from them, lately.
Recent usage suggests Scroggins and Lee might be involved.
Reindl hasn’t thrown much, either, so depending upon what happens tomorrow I could see him heavily involved.
I really wish Bonnin or Kostyshock had run with their opportunities. They have weekend starter stuff and could have been good insurance this postseason.
Really, we always have to worry about LSU, even if their pitching is more depleted than ours. They have mind control on us.
I wish this quarterfinal game going smoothly right now would turn into a slug fest but Fla seems to be going through the motions.
It would be a staff effort Sunday, probably led by Kole Ramage and/or Barrett Loseke. There are a number of guys on the trip who have not thrown yet at the tournament, including Jake Reindl, Bryce Bonnin, Caleb Bolden and Cody Scroggins. Sunday would also be four days from Kacey Murphy’s last start and probably six before his next one, meaning he might be able to give an inning or two as a substitute for a bullpen.
The coaches liked how Bolden and Bonnin threw during the scrimmage Monday.
Good to know that Bonnin threw well in the scrimmage on Monday. I have heard some rumors that he wasn’t happy and might be looking at transferring.
Split the game up and go a couple of innings a piece.
