Pick 1

If you could only choose one player in their prime to add to this current team:

1. Joe Adams
2. Matt Jones
3. Shawn Andrews
4. D.J. Williams
5. Darren McFadden

Shawn Andrews, just because of this team’s needs. He would probably help our running game almost as much as adding DMac. With Shawn, you would also improve pass blocking. It would be really hard to not pick the Hogs greatest RB of all time though.

Hard to pass up a two-time Doak Walker Award winner with a knack for putting his team on his back.

It would have been awesome to see Jones running the RPO in today’s game. Don’t think you could go wrong with DMAC or Andrews, though.

McFadden or Andrews

Until our OL gets better, and it has, and it will, DMac had plenty of experience in Oakland running behind inadequate blocking. That could be useful. Serously, as great as DMac was, and he was probably our best player ever, I say Shawn Andrews. Although McFadden could star on any team, Boyd and Smith are pretty darn good, that is not a real
area of need, and Andrews was a phenomenal, once-in-a-lifetime player too.

On the other hand, we are still looking for a 2nd string QB, and DMac would really fill the bill there .

Can’t disagree with the comments about Andrews, but I’m going to say DJ Williams.

With the steady improvement of our OL, and the current play of our backs and receivers, I’d like to see how this offense could produce at another level with a John Mackey Award winner.

I don’t think you could go wrong with any of those on the list. But one only.

Andrews. It all starts on the OL.

I would say Andrews for the reasons listed above.

Maybe we would not try to kill the clock running backwards

It’s a tough choice, after all, who wouldn’t love to see RunDMc again. But because of the needs of this team, I would take Shawn Andrews. Arkansas does have dynamic running backs and a better o-line would only help them.

That would be my choice as well…for THIS team…for the same reasons.

I’d go with Shawn Andrews for the same reasons most of you have listed. There might be other teams I’d go with a different player, but this team needs the most help in the o-line. It’s pretty well served in other places.

The one I’d take is not on this list. I’d pick Jason Peters. You could play him at TE or OT. Jason is going to be in Canton. None of these others will make it there.

Lance Alworth is another not on this list I’d want. And Loyd Phillips.

Shawn Andrews hands down

Shawn Andrews because we really need help at RT and he is the best Ive seen, man among boys even at the SEC level.

You’re exactly right Clay! It is an absolute treat to go back and look at old footage and watch how Peters and Andrews totally dismantled SEC DL. We’ll never have 2 more dominant players side-by-side.

I’m in the Shawn Andrews camp as well. Second choice would be Matt Jones. Nothing against Feleipe but, as someone else has said, it would be fascinating just to see how he would do in this offense.

Torn between Matt Jones, DMac and Andrews. The line is developing though. I’m going to say Matt Jones bc of his ability to escape and knock your socks off.
