Down the pecking order
I just saw the replay of the last shot for Auburn. Damn right it was a foul. Pearl should have lost it. Tennessee player didnāt give him room to come down. Hands were straight up but he moved forward into the shooter.
Yep. Exactly.
I too I changed my mind after watching the replay in slow motion. The Tenn big clearly moved into Green on that shot. He wasnāt stationary at all and wasnāt there before Green jumped for the shot. Jump shooter has to have space to shoot. Not that Green would have made all free throws, so canāt say Auburn got robbed of a win, but certainly they were robbed of the opportunity to win.
By the same token, I have no idea what a moral issue is these days. . . . . . . .
Guess Iād have to watch it over, looked like the shooter put his legs out around the defender then fell straight down and landed on his back. Definitely no contact but you might be right that he didnāt have room to land.
I think that is exactly why he didnāt get the call.he kicked his feet out and would have hit the defender if he was 2-3 feet away from him.they are cracking down on that I think
I can tell you from experience that itās near impossible to kick both legs out that severely on a jumper without significant contact. The Tennessee defender caused that to look like it did.
Clear foul, although I will say the Tenn defender did a helluva job acting.
