Can you imagine what the result might have been had RW3 been treated like this? (Yes, I realize that RW3 did not get up and walk off, but still…)

Regardless, point well made. Surprising that any D1 school - much less, from the Power 5, has medical support issues like that.
I read something the other day that talked about how in the past, college stadiums would intentionally make the visitor locker room uncomfortable. I can’t remember which one, but they painted everything in the locker room pink. no air conditioning, one toilet, and no hot water. You would hope we would be past that type of thinking.
Oops, posted too fast. Thanks Wiz, I fixed it in the original post.
Wow. That is unbelieveable. I’m not a Harbaugh fan but he (the player and parents) have a legit beef. Glad the young man will be okay.
And I’ve still upset with Auburn about the elevator incident. This certainly takes things to a whole new level of incompetency.

[/quote]Now that you mention it, I read that too - maybe a month ago. And if I’m not mistaken (can’t remember for sure), that may have been about Purdue as well.
I honestly don’t have a problem with the visitor’s quarters being “no frills”, within limits. That’s part of the “home field advantage”. But medical care and facilities are altogether another issue - oranges and apples with the comfort of a dressing room. There should be no difference, regardless of which team is involved. And the level of service has to be better than described here, in this day and age. No excuse to be otherwise - period.
There should be no short cuts on medical care for any player visitor or not! With what coaches get paid these kids should have quality care period!
Visitor locker room I could care less about. Throw some pots potties out back and let them dress with Tusk. Especially Auburn and Bama.
Absolutely.
When it comes to medical care there should be no “visitors” and “home” players. They should all be “home” team—and the home team ought to be damned well cared for. Anything less is unforgivable.
Iowa under Hayden Fry was the first school to paint the visiting locker room pink. Still is.
An SEC visiting locker room story: Bama had a wealthy alum named Jim Fail, who died in 2010. Mr. Fail had wanted to give a ton of money to the football program for years to get something named for him, but they couldn’t think of anything appropriate given his last name. Until somebody thought of the visitors’ locker room at Bryant-Denny. Sure enough, the Hogs did their pregame preparation a few weeks ago in the Fail Room, so named in 2008.
