Gwynn was supposed to be at Baum for an SDSU series with the Hogs in 2013, but his cancer had progressed to the point that he was unable to travel.
He’s a legend here in San Diego… did a lot of good things for the community.

It’s been years since I read Men at Work by George Will, but I do recall the section, “The Batter”, featured Tony Gwynn. I remember being fascinated by all that he did to become the batter he was. I hope to see this program.
