OT - How NOT to mount a horse

Kind of reminds me of our kickers practicing what’s going to happen if the defense tries to block their kick…

Kinda reminds me of something I heard years ago: What are the most common “last words” of a redneck? “Hey y’all, watch this!”

Obviously a greenhorn. Anyone who spends time around horses knows not to walk up behind them. Or run up behind them. They kick. And their kick can be deadly.

At first I thought it was going to be something I saw our own Clay Henry do. He mounted from the right as per instructions, but he just kept on going all the way over to the ground on the other side. he landed on a new fly reel (reel was not hurt, but Clay - well). His horse just looked down at him like, “What are you doing down there.”

Just remember, that was on the ride back from Luna Lake that he wrote about this past June. Great trip.
