Olympic trials Day 2 - Hogs Update

In the 100M first round:

Tyson Gay came 2nd in his heat in 9.97
Konzo Cotton came in 3rd in his heat in 10.12
Jarrion Lawson came in 4th in his heat in 10.16

All three qualified for the next round.

Taylor Ellis-Watson clocked 50.60 in her semi-final heat of 400M to come in third. She was the fourth fastest qualifier for the final and is a definite threat to make at least the 4x400 Relay team.

Chrishuna Williams came in third in her 800M semifinal heat in 2:01:29 and was the 7th fastest qualifier for the final.

Jarrion qualified for the final with a leap of 26-5 1/2. Arkansas native and Sylvan Hills High grad Jeffrey Henderson led all qualifiers with 26-11 3/4.

Henderson was a Division II athlete in college, at Stillman College (which is located in Tuscaloosa). He jumped 24 feet in high school, but went juco, which suggests that grades were the issue.
