OK I was 10 years old in 64. And 40 in 94. Yes wee have many NC in track. That’s great but I want another NC in FB, BB and Baseball. I would like that please before I die. WE are do. Baseball has it served to us on a Silver Platter. Now all we need to do is take it.
Last night I couldn’t sleep. This morning has been gut wrenching for me. I want to win so much for the players, the coaches, the State, and for the Fans!!
WE deserve it. Also I may be the only fan that has sat on the side of the bed almost in tears. That’s right tears. Emotions for 60 years packed inside me. Sitting in my office typing this fighting back tears.
WE win a NC soon and I bet more people will reach beep in their pockets and give even more to the program. I know I will…
Not the only one in tears, for sure. And it is emotionally exhausting to watch the various ways things just don’t quite work out for us. I want a title for DVH so badly.
Don’t be ashamed of tears, Mike. The Hogs have made me cry many times…both happy and sad tears. Hopefully they win tonite and shock the world. It will be tough, but not impossible. We still have a pulse. Go Hogs!
It’s tough being a hog fan. It’s hard being a fan of any school you really love. Even the best rarely win championships. Only Alabama is totally dominant in one sport and even they lost this year. Regardless, I want at least one natty for DVH & the hogs. After the win against Stanford, I thought this might finally be our year.
All the focus is on Auburn. One day at a time. Win tonight and worry about tomorrow when it get’s here.
I have not given up on this team. There is a reason we are in Omaha and I find it hard to believe we are there to get beat before the weekend championship series.
Would not surprise me if one of the teams in the other bracket’s loser’s matchup wins that side of the bracket and be short on fresh pitchers (Notre Dame/Tex AM).
We can do this and sometimes the road to championships are curvy, scary and surprising.
The hogs just need to play baseball! No matter what happens I’m a loyal hog fan! Our hogs belong to each and every one of us and we should all be proud.
One bad game don’t change anything. There’s still some ball left to play.
At this point, I just want to win the next game. If we can beat Auburn, I’ll worry about Ole Miss. If we beat Ole Miss, I’ll worry about Ole Miss again. I know the odds are long against winning 3 in a row, but the odds were long against us getting to Omaha. It could be worse. We could be Stanford or Texas. At least we’re going to be here one more night. And we still have some chance of winning it all.
If the expectation in late June is to win the series, given the facts of the late season collapse, it’s probably tough. This is a nice team; as it’s unfolding right now it’s a last six or top six team. But, they are not a great team. Throughout the last half of the season we’ve been plagued with problems at the #2 and #3 pitching starter position. Also, we’ve also succumbed to crafty lefties; we played his game last night; almost never going with the pitch and almost always trying to take it deep. I’m very pleased with the last couple of series, sans the pitching performance from last eve.
