Seems like the effort in recruiting a top 15 type high school player is no longer going to be a good investment given the increasing likelihood that many of these kids will go directly to G league. Focusing on guys likely to stay 2-3 years in college mixed with transfers (basically the Muss approach) seems like a much more reliable and predictable way to build a team. Will be interesting to see how the programs like KY, Kansas, and Duke adapt. You could see only a few of the top 10 kids for next year go to college.
I presume KY, Duke, UNC will still get the best of the remaining players. I don’t know if it will change the landscape other than they will have two and dones instead of one and dones.
