New director of recruiting

The University of Arkansas has hired Joshua Thompson away from Louisiana-Lafayette to be the new director of recruiting for football, according to a source.

He replaces Larry McDonald, who was hired in early March from Texas A&M, only to return to College Station about a month later.

Thompson, who earned a bachelor and master’s degree at Texas A&M, was the director of recruiting and football logistics for the Ragin’ Cajuns under coach Billy Napier.

Not sure what to think

Bad time to be wishy washy with recruiting coordinators. Especially how this scenario is playing out.

Logistics job. They don’t do much recruiting. They are organizers. Seems they slide around a lot. More than any job I know. Probably high pressure and long hours.

Good thing CCM doesn’t have high expectations.
