never seen a team more locked in!!

we were incredible!!! very impressed with our Plate discipline ,just rarely swing at a bad pitch!! and just mash anything close…

I do believe they were ready for Kentucky and the SEC schedule.

It’s a beautiful thing.

Just be glad when the NCAA tourney is over to get the Hogs more games on TV where we can do more than read about them…

I watched all 3 games

Do you get the live streaming on ESPN3.com? I was able to watch portions of all three games (and could have watched them all if not for other conflicts).

According to Phil and Bubba, there was some trash going on pre-game. It seems that DVH asked a Ky assistant coach who was starting for them in game 1 today. The unnamed assistant refused to answer him and then stared at DVH as he returned to the dugout. The Hog team watched it all go down.

I think there was a little gamesmanship going on after that. I noticed that DVH left the entire starting lineup in the game through nine in game two. I also think that the team was ticked off by the situation and was determined to make their mark.

I don’t know if you noticed from your seat, Marty, but when the KY player (Aklinski, I believe) came in from rounding the bases after his HR in the fifth inning, he stomped on home plate with both feet and apparently said something to Koch, who just gave him a quick glance, kind of shrugged and said nothing. I think that move backfired on the Jellycats, as we got fired up and exploded after that interaction.

Yes I stream through an Xbox one and have direct TV so it lets me watch em.

The streaming games are getting a lot better. They used to be pretty crappy productions. Now they are not a lot different than games you see on ESPN.

Actually, the Kentucky hitter bat flipped and took his time on the bases, showboating even though his team was still Behind. Grant said something to him and the Kentucky player mouthed all the way back to the dugout. Our dugout was fired up after that and we scored 8 straight runs after that.

when the same hitter struck out his next time up. The fans rode him pretty hard. He deserved it.

Kentucky can really hit, but they are arrogant and lazy on defense. Outfielders dogged it, jogging after balls in the corners. Catcher was terrible defensively. I wasn’t impressed.

It’s been a while since my joy in winning was made even better by the joy of rubbing the other teams’ nose in it. I was unaware of the pregame crap, but that stunt by Aklinski told me this series meant more than just SEC standings.

I just loved the beatdown. No matter how the season plays out, these losses will have to stick in their craw. Love it.
Koch did indeed talk to that guy. I wasn’t sure about it, because Koch seemed to be “friendly” in his response. I’m close, but I couldn’t hear the conversation. I wonder if that next strike out was when the PA guy (Jon Williams) said one of the most memorable things that I’ve heard at the ball park. After the K, Jon said “Goodbye!” We cracked up at that. Shortly after that I’m pretty sure that Kevin Trainor took over the PA job for an inning or so. (He often does that when Jon is unavailable, such as on Friday when Jon was at gymnastics.) Then by the end of the game, Jon was back. Things that make you go HMMMM.

As for Kentucky, they dogged it A LOT. There were several nonchalants in the field resulting in extra bases for the Hogs. They have some good players, but I am not impressed. One thing that Arkansas has going for it is a real team spirit, support of team, and a hustle attitude. Listening to the star of the game interview, you can tell that they have each others backs … as well as their coaches backs.

Marty, the “Goodbye” is a recorded gag like “mime mime mine” from “finding Nemo” when a ball drops in the outfield. The Goodbye" is the old sign off when Mac computers shut down. The play it every once in a while after strike outs.
Gotcha. I just don’t remember hearing it before … and considering that I’ve been to every inning of every home game for the last three years that’s saying something. Of course what that could mean is that my memory is going. :o

that’s exactly right PIG and they did! how about some praise being sent their way from you! or you going to sat back and wait for things to go wrong and people are upset and then you can come in and try to play like your a big shot and make everybody feel bad for what they say

Man, my comment in there looks about as stupid as you can get.

Gentry that’s called being a fan!! we get upset when things aren’t going like they should especially when you have a great team like this…PIG never says a word positive, just sits back until someone says something negative and then tries to act like he’s an insider and were a bunch a kids and scolds us for thinking what he’s thinking but doesn’t have the guts to say it for fear of being attacked.pay no attention to him.

Oh, I don’t have a problem with Pig and I don’t have a problem with prior comments I make. When I try to walk on water, my feet get wet.

It’s all good. I am still riding a high from the Kentucky Series.
