I think Broderick Green got a waiver when he transferred back here from SoCal for his sick grandma in Little Rock, which is more than 100 miles. But that was a few years ago. NCAA makes up the rules as it goes along on these things, apparently.
The eligibility decision on the transfer of the kid from Georgia to Ohio State was predictable. If for no other reason, it was because it was Ohio State.
Typical for the NCAA to use a case base case way to approve immediate eligibility just like they enforce the rules against BYU and let the blue bloods by with paying players!
