In an email from Hunter Yurachek this morning:
With Coach Pittman & Coach Muss, hopeful to see football & men’s basketball on the National Ranking list in the near future.
That’s 10 of our 19 sports. A couple left over from last November:
Women’s XC: 1
Men’s XC: 2
Unfortunately the XC nationals are in Stillwater two days after the indoor track natty is in Fayetteville, and we’re going for the titles on the home track. I’m sure we’ll send teams to Stillwater but they’re not likely to be full strength.
Aloha,
Mahalo for sharing. Demonstrates the incredible strength and success of not just the overall program but especially the Women’s program. The Women’s T&F team is lights out.
GHG!
One of the things that could screw Razorback Track, Field, and Cross Country is as Jeff noted. Cross Country was outstanding last fall. Now what? All of it happens in such a short period of time that it’s hard to work out how to determine those teams.
Lance Harter is an outstanding coach and he has a fabulous team this year. The men aren’t too shabby either.
All of it happens in such a short period of time that it’s hard to work out how to determine those teams.
Plus Lance lost his best XC runner when Taylor Werner turned pro.
Of course one reason she probably signed with Puma is there’s no way to be certain that either Stillwater or Fayetteville will actually happen.
Update:
I don’t think gymnastics will change even though the Hogs are idle this weekend. #5 Paperclips had a dual with West Virginia in Norman and scored less than 196, even though they won the dual. So their average will drop from 196.606. Auburn went nuts and scored 197+ against LSU (and still lost) but they’re not anywhere near close enough to pass the Hogs.
