Play as well as we did against them the first time for the first 37 minutes, and add in Nick Smith. To me, that equals a victory. Unless, of course, Nick plays a bad game.
Overly simple? Yes. But I do believe it. We play as well as we did against them in the Bud, or as well as we played Baylor, and add in Nick, we win. I am not saying just add Nick to the box score He takes shots away from some others. I am just talking the eye test. Play just as well…add in Nick. If he plays well too, we win.
We agree. Of course the caveat is we play as well as we did against Baylor, and as well as we played the “thugs-that-shall-not-be-named” for the first 37 minutes back when we played them at our place. We have to play that well…and add in Nick…who needs to play well.
They acted a fool on our home court. Let’s hope our players and Muss don’t forget that. They were yapping at us all night. Our players need to take care of business and walk out the the Win.
Act like basketball players and not a bunch of fools. That’s the first thing that needs to happen.
Hogs win if they do that. Bama will suffer a dose of humble pie. Karma
We just need Bama to play like they played Wed, against SC. We’ll beat them by 20 points.
I believe that game showed that Miller was a major distraction for the rest of the Bama team. It may be even more than just a distraction. The other players may actually be wondering why he did not at least get suspended for a few games. That favoritism may affect the locker room. Not one player on the team played well in the SC game except Miller. That may just carry forward for the rest of the season.
yeah, here might be some tension there between Miller and his teammates. I can definitely see it. His teammates possibly wondering to themselves “Wow, is he actually culpable in a murder?”
I watched a good chunk of that S Carolina game, and his teammates weren’t celebrating all that much when Miller scored a bucket.
Hogs will have to play great, smart and connected on both ends of the floor to pull off a win at Alabama.
I don’t expect since they are back at home that they will feel uncomfortable as they appeared to be at South Carolina and add the fact that the SEC is totally in with the Tide and their high ranking and projected seed position in the NCAA Tournament.
They haven’t lost a home game this season and I wouldn’t expect it to be an easy task for us, but it is possible if everyone plays up to their full potential. A victory would certainly put the rest of the country on notice that possibly we are finally putting all of the pieces in place to finish the season off very strong.
Go Hogs!
