Wow, 25’ 9" in the long jump, that is a world class distance for a high school Jr. Carl Lewis still holds the record for the long jump in High School competition at 26’ 6". That record has stood for 37 years. And, I’d bet that Carl set that his Sr. year. I’m sure our track coaches would love to work with him. This commitment reminds me of Batman Carroll, who was the #1 DB recruit in the country when he committed to (and signed with) the Hogs. Our track program helped with him and, I’m sure now it is helping again with Jarques.
