He is the state’s top player - a safety from Ashdown, who chooses the Razorbacks over Alabama, Oklahoma State, LSU and many others.

Huge get, nice to keep the top talent at home. Every year is so different in recruiting. Seems like we started off strong last year then stayed stuck with very few commits headed into the season. Not so now. This class is shaping up nicely with kids that the coaches are willing to take commitments from even before August. That has to be a good thing.
What great news! Mr. Brown was tabbed as the best player in the state. So happy to have him in this class that is shaping up to be outstanding.

Montaric comes from great genes. I coached his dad for 3 years from 85-88 and he was an outstanding athlete. He won several races at the Meet of Champs, was a decent basketball player, and would knock your head off in football. He also has several uncles that were good athletes as well. Congratulations to Montaric.
