Dropping from 23 to 31 is Campbell, which I will be scouting Wednesday night (never know, they could be a 2 or 3 seed at Baum in June) against #70 UNCW, fresh off its series win at Fort Worth. UNCW already beat East Carolina this season, lost to NC State in extra innings.and gets Wake Forest at home in mid-May.

And of course, the baseball committee still uses RPI, although to what extent we don’t really know. But being top 5 is a good way to stay at home until you leave for Omaha. All the baseball bracketologists I can find had us in the 8-9 seed range before this weekend. With Virginia and BC both taking their lumps in ACC play this weekend (each lost a series at home), that is likely to change. In his weekend wrapup at D1 Baseball, Aaron Fitt gave the Hogs the highest weekend achievement honor for sweeping the Vomiteers.

Also of note, we remain #5 in the D1 Baseball ranking. LSU, Wake, Florida, Vandy and us.
