The Arkansas team - which will be coached by former Razorback and NBA center Joe Kleine - had its first practice to open the Real Deal in the Rock on Friday night.
Arkansas signees Darious Hall and Khalil Garland both were in attendance, but fellow future Razorback Daniel Gafford was unable to make it because of a school conflict.
That group will play against a team of Memphis All-Stars in the annual event, which will be held in Memphis for the first time.
The game will be played at Memphis University High School.
