Tom Murphy has more on that win: http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2017 … irst-time/
This is the best stat on Mason Overstreet on the fall. I’m surprised it’s not in Tom’s story. Mason is 29-under. That’s an incredible number over three tournaments.
I don’t doubt that he’s the best male collegiate player in the country right now. He’s certainly in the top two or three. His length is incredible and he’s now one of the best putters out there, too. I’ve written on him several times and I just think you are about to see something incredible from him. His swing was a little loose when he came to Arkansas, but they fixed that. He’s capable of driving short par fours that are in the 330 range. He had two eagles on par fours in Minnesota.
Maria Fassi is really good, too. She’s got length and solid ball striking, too. So in Fassi and Overstreet, the two Arkansas teams have players capable of winning the NCAA medalist crown.
Just to add on to this, for those reading this that don’t already know (I did not until a couple of weeks ago) - our Ladies team is ranked #1 in the country. There is quality depth beyond Fassi.
