Mo State has fallen off from where they were some years ago. They used to give the Hogs all they could handle but now represent a solid game instead of a challenging one. What has happened to that program?

I talked to a couple of long-time Missouri State observers last night. The general feeling is that the Bears are back on the right track after a down period for a few years. And if you look at the program’s history, it is full of a few years of strong teams followed by a few years of struggles — even below .500 — but it always bounces back.
Missouri State played in the NCAA Tournament last season and came kind of close to playing Arkansas for the regional championship in Stillwater. The Bears are in contention to win the MVC this year, but they have to beat Indiana State to do it. The Sycamores are red hot and there is some talk they might host a regional.
