Looks like Hogs will be 22nd in final Directors Cup

We’re 21st after everything but the CWS is completed. LSU is half a point behind us and will pass due to reaching the super regional, which they lost to eventual champion Coastal Carolina. Nobody else in the baseball tournament was close enough, including national runnerup Arizona.

We wound up with 820 points, with our best performance by far in the spring with one NC, one second, two 12ths, a 17th and a 33rd in spring sports, worth 393 points. LSU topped us in the spring with 435 points before baseball, which should be worth another 64 for a super regional loss.

Coastal Carolina, meanwhile, nearly doubled its point total by winning the CWS, from 125 to 225 points. That will put CCU in the top 90 schools.

Considering that Arkansas has fewer sports than most (or all) of those ranked above them, that is a remarkable result.

Well done!!

Actually wound up 23rd. We got passed by LSU and Florida State. Looks like FSU got points for beach volleyball and baseball to pass us. I was not aware that beach volleyball was an actual NCAA sport, but it seems that it is.
