It’s a month until they announce the regional sites. Feel pretty safe in thinking we won’t have to leave BWS until Omaha. And Omaha will still stand for Ole Miss At Home Again.
I would say this week should be an automatic sweep, but we managed to give the Baggies their only league win so don’t assume anything. However, the battle of Tennessee and the battle of Mississippi are this weekend, so hopefully we can pull farther ahead of at least two of those (or all four).
I’d like the Miss & TN teams to split with each other. Don’t really care which way although I suppose I’d rather MSU win its series against the rebnecks.
If we manage to sweep, we will have come through the first half of the SEC season with a 12-3 record. On pace for a 24-6 finish. That would be incredible. Anything above 20 wins is a resounding success. In fact, 17-20 wins is a really good season in the SEC. If we do get through at 12-3 or even 11-4, we are looking good for 20-22 wins. Play TN in Knox. Get Fla & UGA,at home. Avoid Vandy. LSU isn’t its vintage self & a team we could win the series from even tho we play in Red Stick. SC is harder to predict, but playing at their place I’d probably be happy with 1 win.
As of today, Warren Nolan predicts us to finish the SEC 21-9. Be hard to knock that result.
We lost to La Tech, so 10-2 (La Tech, Ole Miss, Moo U, Texas Tech, Texass, TCU), although La Tech is #16 in some polls. But hey, that’s still impressive.
Those Warren Nolan projections seem to change by the hour. When I posted that, they had us at 21-9, but I’ve been watching that for a couple of weeks & it’s all over the board–other than it’s had us trending upward.
