I met my wife on a day like that — basketball regular-season finale, baseball doubleheader and track national championships at the Tyson Center all in the same day. The basketball game tipped off at the same time of the baseball first pitch. You don’t forget a day like that.
It is going to be cold Saturday night, so I’m not sure the coaches are going to want their teams playing until 10 o’clock, which is what would happen if a doubleheader began at 3 p.m. That’s one of the reasons there are so many afternoon games early in the season, because of how cold it gets once the sun goes down.
We’ll see. The forecast can change a lot in a few days.
