We catch FL at a good time (if there is such). Right after their game at KY.
SC seems a little more beatable the way they’ve struggled with tight games against teams FL has been blowing out lately. I’m not sure we have any one who can guard Thornwell though. Our 4s are just not athletic enough to stay with him, and our 3rd guards are not strong enough to keep him off the boards. Maybe if we play zone as well as we did in the 2nd half at LSU, we could contain him somewhat.
Either win would be a major upset, but it’s about time we get one this year.
For some reason I think we finish 3-3 but not the way anyone thinks.
My prediction to end the season… Be warned it makes no sense, but that’s just how this team has been this year.
We’ll win a close game at @SC and people will jump back on the bandwagon and say this is a NCAA team. We lose the next 2 home games, and everybody will call for CMA to be fired and declare our chances of making tournament are over. We get a come from behind win @Auburn, and win on senior night against Georgia. That will give us a 10-8 record and finish 5th in the SEC, we will win 2 ugly looking games in tournament, then get blown out by Florida or Kentucky, that gives us 23 wins, we’re sweating on selection Sunday, and we make it in as an 11 seed.
Let’s hope for 5-1 and beat SC and Florida and give up one somewhere else. I like the 11 seed better than an 8 or 9 seed. Any bid to the dance would be welcome.
If Kingsley and Barford start to play to their potential then I think we can win 5 of the last 6. If they continue to play the way they have been playing then 2 or 3 wins are possible. We need those two to play at an all sec level to take us to the promised land of the NCAA tourney.
Hannah’s, Macon and Manny can shoot threes all night long but Barford and Kingsley are the two key players who I hope get it together during this home stretch
For some reason I think we will see that happen…and win at least 4 of the last 6

Please tell me that you don’t have a chicken foot hanging around your neck…
I hope you’re wrong my heart can’t take two loses at home. You definitely have to show up toplay those two teams.
I was actually trying to be funny with that post because those outcomes sounded ridiculous, but you never know. This Ole Miss game will be close to sold out, it’s going to be tough for them to steal one against us. You can see the light coming on for some of these guys like Barford, Hannahs, and Thomas. Can’t wait for Saturday WPS!
