KJ Jefferson

he was working today’s camp. He’s definitely dropped some weight. I wasn’t able to get his weight but he looks like he’s dropped about 10-15 pounds.

That’s great because all those times he broke loose and they were catching him those days will be over LOL

Remember seeing him this time last year and thinking he looked like a DE. Not so now.

I think he’s at 238.

I worked on a piece for Hog+ last week ahead of the Manning camp. KJ explains some of the big plays last year. One was the pass to Dominique Johnson for the TD against LSU. When he broke to the pocket the idea was to throw to Burks but the sideline was pointing at Dom down the field. They are trained to head to sideline when flushed. That led to him seeing motions down the field. I had not heard that before. He has so much maturity and poise under pressure.

I don’t think many enjoy it when they do catch up…

No doubt. He smashes most DBs.

He just has the It factor

He has skill, talent and IQ.

He understands how to play his position, makes good reads and just flat out plays with intensity. I will say I was very concerned about how well he would play before season started last year, but Sam and the boys knew he was their guy moving forward and he didn’t let them down. He took over the game the 2nd half against Penn St. and had his way against them. Looking forward to see him come fall, wishing him a great season and a injury free year. WPS

I think I remember him saying he wanted to trim up and play this year at 230-235 so he’s basically right on track should not have any problem getting to either one of those weights.I think it will make a big difference in his first step and his ability to pull away from defenders.

The more I think about it, more excited I get.

I’m just read Wally’s article on KJ at the Manning camp. Wally said that KJ had NO offers to play QB only TE. From what I remember he was a top 10 dual threat QB coming out. Am I remembering wrong?

Never trust what _ally _all writes.

You’re correct. Rivals’ 2019 recruit ranking for KJ was a 4* and the #5 Dual threat QB. So, Wally is

Is Lil’ Walter still trying to write about sports? Guess he’ll keep trying until he gets something about sports correct.

I hate to hammer Wally since he’s not here to defend himself. However, you’d think he would have learned by now to do more research before putting it in print.
