Matthew Phillips (the subject of the OP) lives in Brentwood, TN (just south of Nashville).

Good kid, good athlete, a gamer IMO. It is my understanding that he has other full-ride offers to play DB but the Razorbacks around here are hoping he picks the Hogs. For sure that is where his heart is.

I think he was probably a 3 yr letterman as a DB but only started one year as PK and punter but that was because he was stuck behind Tucker Day, who is on scholarship at Miss St. One of Matthew’s HS teammates was Cole Mabry, who is headed to Notre Dame as on OL.

Cole Mabry is the nephew of former Razorback All American Jim Mabry. The entire family are big Hog fans and many are UA alumni.

Cole was very interested in UA. BB elected not to offer.

Consequently, Cole Mabry is signing with ND.
