When coach A said “he’s trying to get the football out of him I guess”… for me reading between the lines it said he is far from helping our team whether it be in practice or games
It’s never a good thing when a basketball player looks like a football player on the court!.. We just have been missing it in recruiting a complete roster
I understand but we do need instant impact players my best guess tells me if a Tremont Waters type would have came in s semester early he would be able to help instantly…So in comparison I’m left wondering how or why can’t we recruit better

Justice is by all accounts a great kid, with an uncommonly wonderful father. close friend of CMA"s forever. He’s not on scholarship. this is a no-brainer.
In addition to that, Justice is a tremendous athlete and has a better chance to be in the NFL than NBA, but has that type of athleticism.
In addition, he is supposed to be at LRChistian this semester. He’s supposed to be getting a date for Friday while studying hs algebra.
So he’s clearly ahead of schedule, a very mature and hard working young man, from a great family. I’ve got 3 sons, would love them to be like Justice.
That’s what I took away as well when he said that and that look on CMA’s face when he answered that question said it all too.
I was reading on another board guys were talking about how CMA should immediately use him and some were even saying he may be a better option than Jalen Harris, I just SMH, people don’t realize how big of a jump it is from high school basketball to high major college basketball. You have guys that are 5-stars that go to prep schools and play against the best high school competition on a nightly basis that come in and struggle to adjust sometimes. Expecting him to be able to contribute coming in at semester fresh off the football field was very unrealistic.
And with that said, I think Hill will be good in time, he’s a great athlete and has high IQ. I do think he’s been hyped up a lot, since he committed so early. I expect him to end of being a solid role player for us and next year I expect him to compete to be apart of that 9-10 man rotation.
Justice Hill has been on campus about 10 days, maybe. He is still trying to find where his classes are located and to unpack his suitcase. He may be looking for the nearest Walgreens or to find his dorm room key. Give the kid a chance…this is nuts. His plan was to practice this semester and get to prepare himself for next season.
If anybody has ever been to college…it is a huge adjustment. I would imagine it is even more difficult if you are trying to play college sports and have left high school early. Let the boy have some space and time.
People that haven’t seen it also don’t understand the gap between high school ball and AAU ball at the level Justice has played at for the past few years. With rest of this season, all summer, and then fall camp to “get the football out” I would fully expect young Mr. Hill to be ready for college ball next fall. It’s great that he has an older PG to work behind as well. He was never expected to be a one and done. But a two year backup and a two year starter sounds great when we have had no PG for so long.
My post wasn’t a knock against Justice Hill however theroare posters on this blog that can’t handler the other side of the truth or the whole truth rather… and the whole truth is Hill seems not to be ready in the eyes of the staff readying the comment coach gave
So how is it that many are upset because I stated that… Moreover we missed on players in the recent past who I felt could have made greater impacts their freshman year than Ethan, Ali, Phillips, Gabe, Adrio to name a few
